Postgraduate Scholarship Application

The M Club awards two postgraduate scholarships annually to one male and one female student-athlete pursuing post-graduate study. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excelled academically and athletically while at the University of Maryland.
The M Club will award two one year scholarships for the amount of $5,000. The Scholarship will be contingent upon acceptance to and enrollment in an accredited Post-Graduate institution. The Scholarship may be renewed for an additional academic year based on academic performance and satisfactory progress towards graduation.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Current and Former University of Maryland Athletes who:
- Have received at least one varsity letter from the University of Maryland
- Have earned, or will earn by May 2012, a bachelors degree from the University of Maryland
- Have exhausted all collegiate athletic eligibility in the sport(s) which they were awarded a letter
- Have applied to (or enrolled in) a graduate program in an accredited institution for the purpose of pursuing an advanced degree
- Are an active member of the M Club

- Financial need
- Number of years out of school
- Cumulative College GPA
- Involvement at University of Maryland and within the Community
- Athletic Performance at Maryland
- Personal Statement
